Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter!!  17 years ago today I got to meet and hold my first born.  Nothing like it in the world!!!  Every little new miracle is special in their very own way and hold a special place in a mommy's heart ... but, nothing beats knowing you're a mommy for the FIRST time and will always be just that.  Whether you have more children or not ... at that moment your life changes forever & for the better!!  
So, Bridgette, thank you for your contagious smile and the love and laughter you have brought to my life.  You are a special gift from God himself.  Although perhaps a surprise to begin with... well, you beat my 16th surprise bday party, my graduation party & day ... you just became the BEST little miraculous surprise ANY mother would be grateful to have.  And God chose me!  He didn't only choose me for you, but I believe with ALL of my heart... He chose you for me!!  
When you looked into my eyes for the first time with your bald little head and big, bright blue eyes you melted me from within.  Something that even I can't put into words happened inside of me that day and 17 years later I still can't explain it.
I love you so much and I'm so, very proud of you!!  You are my sunshine and I want you to ALWAYS let your light shine:)

Like I said before... just add googly eyes to everything you can think of!! It just makes the cutest little favors... It's all in the details! googly play-doh too!!

Above is a close-up of another MONSTER detail. I just used a glass flower vase, added googly eyes & stuck pipe cleaners in it for the craft table:)

They were full of all sorts of monster themed toys & stickers and a few extra little things too! Just be creative!! When you are talking about Monsters there is no 'right or wrong!'

My Little Monster Turns 4!!!!!

So, since my youngest little man, Guy Cooper loves the new little monsters you can find all over the blogging world and Pinterest (which is a new personal found love of mine:) we decided to go with it!! So, this 4th birthday party theme was all monsters and we used TONS of googly eyes on everything we could think of!! Some of the inspiration and ideas were tweaked a bit (some for short-cut reasons) but I think the party turned out great!! The kids seemed to love it and most importantly, our little Guy!! He was sooooo excited!! As you will see in the following pictures, he is quite the 'ham' of the family!! He has got so many different and fun facial expressions!! He couldn't hardly contain himself before his friends started showing up!! I'm gonna share a few of the pics here on my blog and hopefully you can find your own inspiration too!!

And here is a picture of the fabulous Monster cake!! Guy actually saw this cake on Pinterest while I was searching through for ideas and that was it!! He had to have it!! Thank you to Aunt Jenny who makes the best, moist, as yummy cakes as they are cute!!

We had a craft table and you will have to forgive me because I only took a couple of close up pictures of details and seemed to have forgotten to get the 'over-all' look of the table BEFORE the kids took it over!! But, we had MONSTER crafts too!! The bigger kids loved the bookmarks and the younger ones had a GREAT time making their own personal MONSTER party hat!!

Inspirtation

So, I thought I'd share where my inspiration for my blog name actually comes from. I have to admit that all four of my beautiful kids inspire me, but for good reason I have one little one that just SHOUTS menace!! Don't get me wrong, she's a really good girl, but seems to be a walking accident, or sometimes incident!! I see myself in her SO much!! She's so full of life and creativity and always MUST know how things work that it often ends up in catastrophe!! Or if we get really lucky, nothing more than a spill or small stain!! (One day I am determined to have furniture without marks:) But, for now... I'll take her creative little mind that keeps our family 'on their toes!'
See... I actually am CONSTANTLY looking for some new 'project' and 'make-over' for something hands on that I can call my own!! Well, so does she. Everyday it's, "Mom, what are we gonna do today?" Or, "Mom, I wanna do a project. Let's do a project!" Guess that's the creative artsy side of her and I completely see myself!! Besides, if I've been told once...I've been told a hundred times she looks just like me!!
Sometimes when I follow my 'ideas' or 'instincts' (well, often if i were to admit) I get sooo caught up in what I'm doing I forget to cook, clean, fold laundry... u get the idea :) At least until I'm a complete whirlwind trying to do it all at one time and remembering to pick up kids on time... Causing myself nothing but, well ...
MENACE!!
Guess I'm a creative little mess from time to time ... But, I'd have it no other way!!
